LFS are reliant upon teamspeak, All our events require organisation and this is how we do it.
Even if you are just going to listen. It makes the game more fun, you get to know all your outfit buddies better and it means you can react to resecures, AMS positions etc. a lot quicker.

It can be downloaded from here for free.

To connect to our server do the following:

1. Click the "Connections" menu and then "Connect"
2. In the new window right click the large white space on the left and click "Add Server"
3. Give it a name (ie. Long Forgotten Soldiers) and enter the following details:
Server Address: 195.149.21.58:10110
See forums for Password
4. Make sure you have the "Anonymous" option selected and enter a Nickname. Please make sure your your nickname involves your PlanetSide characters name.

NOTE: Please DO NOT use the "Voice Activation" mode unless you use a headset for sound and mic. If your sound comes through your speakers, voice activation will enable when anyone else talks. This will cause everything to echo every time anyone else talks. If an admin sees this happening they are likely to kick the culprit, after warning.

REGISTERING                                                                                                            
To register you will need to find an Admin online. All of the LFS command (Scorpion Command and Scorpion Lieutenants) have server admin rights, you will see "SA" just after their names on TS. If you ask this admin to allow you to register they will be happy to do it.

Once this is done:
1. Right click on yourself in Teamspeak
2. Click the new option, "Register with Server"
3. In the window which opens enter a username and password of choice
4. Click "OK" and you should be notified that you are now registered

Now log on as a registered user:
1. Log off TeamSpeak
2. Select the "Connections" menu and click "Connect"
3. Select the LFS TeamSpeak server from your list
4. Select the "Registered" option on the right
5. Enter your username and password in the new fields which appear below
6. Now log back in and you will be listed as a Registered member

If you are not registered, always check to see if the "Register with Server" option is in your "Self" menu. This is because sometimes when I log off PS, I go through all the unregistered members and allow them to register.

TEAMSPEAK RULES                                                                                                  
Our teamspeak server is open to anyone in LFS and Clowns, Members of the vanu sovereignty can be invited onto our server and we would like to encourage that to happen.
This server is to be used only for the vanu sovereignty if you are found to be on a different empire we will aware you of this and proceed to ban you for 24 hours.
Spam and Excess noise is an issue which is annoying. Please do not use feedback to annoy people, if this happens you will be warned and further more kicked.

The Punishment system for our teamspeak Server follows:

• Warn (We will aware you of what you are doing and give you a warning)

• Kick (proceed with the act you will be kicked)

• Warn (If you reconnect and continue we will warn you again)

• Ban (24 Hours Non-Negotiable. We will ban you for 24 hours if this act continues.)

• Perm-Ban (We will block your IP if you rejoin after 24 hours and continue with your behaviour)

We ask that all players refrain for using excessive amounts of bad language. We may only recruit people over the age of 16 but children may be on the server so try to control yourself. Repetitive offensive swearing may result in you being kicked.

Teamspeak is an asset please do not abuse it, If you have been Punished DO NOT Send Tells in-game to the person who banned you. If this happens you will be Permanently banned.

FAQ                                                                                                                             

How do I talk to you guys?

1. Select the "Settings" menu and click "Sound Input/Output Settings"
2. Select the "Push to talk" option
3. Click the "Set" button and press the button you want to press to talk
4. Now whenever you hold that button down TeamSpeak will broadcast your sound

What do I do if my registered account is not working?
Usernames and passwords are case sensitive. Check that both are entered exactly the same as you did when you registered.
If you still cannot get it to work, select the "Anonymous" option in the connection window again. This will allow you to connect again so you can get an admin to let you try and register again. Make sure you know exactly what username and password you have entered including case.

How do I tell who is talking to me?
Download TeamSpeak Overlay from here

To get it to work:
1. Open TeamSpeak
2. Open TeamSpeak Overlay
3. Connect to TeamSpeak
4. Click the "Enable" button on the TeamSpeak Overlay window
5. Log into PlanetSide

What do I do if TeamSpeak Overlay isn't working?

Try logging into PlanetSide, then load up the overlay and enable it. Some people have had problems if they enabled before logging on to PlanetSide.
Also try to make sure you enable the overlay after TeamSpeak is opened and connected. Some people have also had problems because of this.

If you still can't get the overlay to work then try looking here for help.

What do I do if TeamSpeak Overlay just wont work?
Voice Overlay is another good overlay program. For support with this check their website.
