Dunno how many of you have seen this already but I found a review from some people who went to E3 about Huxley:

Sounding good, carnt wait to try it.
Wonder why console players get a different race? Is it cos they carnt look up
Im abit conserned that they divide the players up with different lvls so that a lvl20 character will never fight a lvl 30 unless they gain an extra lvl. I like games to rely on skill and a highly skilled low level player should be able to take out a N00b that has just spent that week grinding npcs. But it sounds like the lvls in huxley must realy boost you stats/equipment making fair fights between characters of differnt lvls hard.

Shame it looks like a 2007 release date

Personally I think it is quite good that they segregate off the levels. It sounds like the higher levels in Huxley will actually be a LOT better off than a low level player. If this is so I think a lvl 40 would totally waste a lvl 10 however good they were. Anyway probably going to be a lot of people playing this game so they will need to seperate people out a bit if the battles are only 100 vs 100.

I hate to put a downer on this, but I've been reading that Direct X 10 is gonna be Vista only  . So to play all these fancy new games using DX10 we're gonna have to install Vista, whether we like it or not :(. I hope this doesn't apply to Huxley, but it applies to games like Crysis and others in development.

This does apply to Huxley, I have read it in some other reviews. Apparently DX9 can't handle some of the new graphics options they are putting on new cards or something. I read somewhere that they couldn't make the changes on Windows XP because it just can't handle it. Maybe needs to be 64 bit or something?

I was planning on buying a new PC when I get a job anyway. Just gonna wait till you can buy a PC with Vista and do it. I didn't want to upgrade cause Vista is gonna be an arse to begin with and will use even more of your PC just to sit idle. Anyway if you need it for all new games then you gotta get it or give up games :(.

The article is wrong about xbox and pc playing in same world. Devs tested it out some time ago, to see if console players have any hope againgst pc players because of the mouse and keybord advance and it turned out xbox players didn't haven much hope against pc users, at the moment devs haven't figured out how to balance this. They are going to make diffrent server for xbox and pc userd, so we don't be seeing xbox users. Shame realy, thouse guys would have been easy exp heheh.

About lvling thing, it seems like they are going to go with similar to planetside lvls, meaning that upper lvl you can get more stuff to use, but lvl still can kill you, or thats what i have heard.

I thought they figured out how to do it by making a special race just for the xbox people so they can make them specifically for console use.

I just found this earlier and thought I'd post about it for all those who are still interested in this game.

I was excited till i saw this:

EDIT: The Huxley beta testing scheduled for the 13th of September is available to Korean players only!

I'm Welsh. We're designed to stay awake for days at a time, merely to lure the English to sleep. The we sweep down on tiny hill ponies and steal their cattle. Sadly, I have no hill pony. I do have a dog mind

They did actually state that Beta testing would only take place in Korea nearly 2 years ago, so it's no surprise to me. I didn't realise it was happening any day though however, so maybe it's not far off now.

Entered the second stage of beta testing a while ago. Release date is estimated at March 2008.

Videos of beta show it playing a lot like UT3 (as it does use that engine) but it still sounds like it will be absolutely awesome.

No, haven't seen any info like that but from what they are saying it sounds like it will be a worldwide deal.

I nice little tid bit there Supe, cheers.

I especially like the sound of clans capturing battle zones and holding them for funds to buy stuff for it's members, all sounding very promising to me. Can't wait.
